RECONSTRUCTION OF ATROPHIC CRESTAL RIDGES WITH THE “BONE LAYER TECHNIQUE”
The Bone Layer Technique allows for the horizontal and vertical regeneration of atrophic crestal ridges using a resorbable Cortical Lamina, a collagenated biomaterial and a collagen membrane.
The missing vestibular and/or lingual bony wall is reconstructed with a Cortical Lamina fixed with titanium pins. Cortical Lamina offers multiple advantages: the transformation into the new cortical plate in 6-8 month, the stabilization of the graft in a very short time.
After a brief summary of the scientific evidence behind augmentation procedures, participants will have the opportunity to observe a didactic, live surgical procedure and to do a practical hands-on session.
